Poochandi Vaaran movie review

Story:

Murugan is a magazine journalist specialising in horror articles. He travels to Malaysia to collect unique and paranormal stories.

What starts as an ordinary story search turns into a horrific life changing mystery when Murugan meets Shankar, who shares a spine-chilling paranormal experience that happened to him and his friends.

Analysis:

Director Wickneswaren Kaliaperumal has explored a completely new format in the horror genre.

He keeps the narrative engaging. Instead of just relying on jump scares, the director has managed to give the creeps through the narration and screenplay.

The scenes are very much believable which makes it all the more convincing.

As far as the performances go, Mirchi, RJ Ramana, Dinesh Sarathi Krishnan, Logan Nathan, Ganesan Manoharan, and Hamsni Perumal are a huge backbone to the film.

They fit their particular roles like a T. The movie is technically sound as well.

Music by Ganessan Manohgaran gels well with the theme of the movie and maintains the intensity throughout the runtime.

Rating: 3.5/5
