Clap movie review

Story:

Adhi is an aspiring athlete. He could not pursue his dream after losing a leg.

He then sees a rural girl who is working hard to become a athlete.

He wants to support this girl in achieving her dream. But it does not seem to be an easy task as there are several obstacles. How Aadhi and the girl overcome all these obstacles forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

Director Prithvi Adithya has made the movie based on the theme that one can accomplish their dreams even without putting them in the spotlight.

Clap is a fine sports drama with the right intention. The movie is very close to reality without much heroism and exaggeration. The dialogues too are bare minimum and the emotions do most of the talking.

Though the plot becomes predictable after a while, Prithvi has managed to keep the proceedings interesting. Aadhi has completetly submitted himself to the role.

He has delivered a since and earnest performance. His screen space is another major plus point of the movie. Krisha Kurup conveys a lot through her body language.

Aakanksha as Aadhi’s wife delivers a assured performance. Rest of the cast including Prakash Raj, Munishkanth and Brahmaji have all done their part well.

Ilayaraja’s songs and background music adds more soul to the narration.
