Vijay’s Jana Nayagan heads to OTT: Here’s when and where to watch it
Chief Minister Vijay’s Jana Nayagan has received an official OTT release date. The film is scheduled to begin streaming on Zee 5 on August 21.
Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan marks Vijay’s final film before his move into politics. The movie experienced several delays before reaching theatres on July 23.
The cast includes Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani and Nizhalgal Ravi. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music, while Vivek has written the lyrics. Venkat K Narayana produced the project under the KVN Productions banner.
The film’s theatrical performance has been reported at around Rs 227 crore in India and more than Rs 320 crore worldwide, according to box-office tracking data.
Vijay plays Thalapathy Vetri Kondan in the film, which combines action, dance and elements designed to showcase his established screen persona. The movie is being positioned as the final release of his acting career following his entry into electoral politics.
Vijay contested the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections held in April 2026, won the election and subsequently became the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
