Trisha reveals her Independence Day saree was her mother’s

Trisha Krishnan attended Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s Independence Day function at Fort St George in Chennai on August 15 in a traditional yellow saree.

A day after the event, Trisha shared photographs of her appearance on social media and revealed that the saree belonged to her mother, Uma Krishnan. She also said that she handled her own makeup for the occasion.

The crepe silk saree featured a floral border and was paired with a contrasting green blouse decorated with zari work. Trisha wore the saree in a classic drape, keeping the overall styling understated.

She completed the look with a centre-parted fish braid decorated with jasmine flowers, along with softly curled strands framing her face. Her makeup was kept simple and matte.

Trisha was among the prominent guests at the Independence Day ceremony and was seated in the front row near Vijay’s parents, S A Chandrasekhar and Shoba Chandrasekhar. She attended the event with her mother.

Videos from the ceremony have circulated widely online, including footage of Trisha saluting Vijay. Her appearance at the event and the story behind the saree drew considerable attention on social media.
