Samantha to host ‘Celebrity MasterChef Tamil’
Samantha Ruth Prabhu is set to lead the upcoming Tamil edition of the popular cooking reality franchise ‘Celebrity MasterChef’.
The actor said she was excited to take on a format that is different from her previous projects. She added that the programme appealed to her because food can create connections between people.
The show will bring together well-known personalities from the Tamil entertainment industry, who will compete in a series of cooking challenges. Samantha said she was particularly looking forward to seeing the participants experiment in the kitchen, take risks and deal with unexpected outcomes.
The actor has not disclosed the identities of the celebrities taking part, choosing to keep the contestant list under wraps for now.
‘Celebrity MasterChef Tamil’ is being developed as the Tamil adaptation of the international ‘MasterChef’ format, with the programme expected to incorporate regional cuisine and flavours. The show is slated to premiere on Sony Vizha and Sony LIV, with the launch date yet to be announced.
