Thor: Love and Thunder review

Story:

After the battle against Thanos, Thor finds himself trying to catch a break from his superheroing days although things soon take a turn as he is forced to team up with other forces to take on a new enemy, Gorr, the god butcher.

Thor teams up with Valkyrie , who is now king of the Asgardians, the ever-loyal Korg and his ex girl friend Dr. Jane Foster. She is now a female version of Thor with the Mjolnir having chosen to be her weapon.

Thor has to make do with the battle-axe Stormbreaker as he faces off with Gorr, who is armed with the deadly Necrosword.

Analysis:

The writing by the director and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson is consistently inventive. The film conjures up a remarkable colour palette, from the dank darkness of the Shadow Realm to the garish glow of Zeus’s Golden temple.

The movie is filled with love and loss, death and defiance, music and magic, bits of science and fantasy stuffs.

Chris Hemsworth looks as charming as ever. The relationship he has with Hammer and Stormbreaker is lovely and hilarious at the same time.

Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher in unforgettable. He looks better than Voldemort but still like his elder brother.

Natalie Portman is convincing as lady Thor. B

GM of the movie is very fresh and catchy.
