Elephant Arikomban, which roamed into human habitations in Cumbum, Theni district for days together since last month, has been captured at last. A crop raiding ‘makhna’ elephant was captured after tranquilizing by the Forest department in Palacode in Dharmapuri district early on Sunday. A mahout was injured in an attack by a captive elephant at Kozhikamuthi elephant camp of Anamalai Tiger Reserve (ATR) near Top Slip on Friday.
