Soori’s high remuneration for next film sparks industry buzz
Actor Soori’s rise from working behind the scenes in Tamil cinema to becoming a leading actor has taken another significant turn, with reports suggesting that his remuneration for an upcoming film could be around Rs 25 crore.
Before establishing himself as an actor, Soori worked in different departments of the film industry, including as a lightman. He eventually began appearing in smaller acting roles before gaining recognition as a comedian.
His distinctive comic style and timing helped him become one of the most sought-after comedy actors in Tamil cinema. Over the years, he transitioned into lead roles and has taken on increasingly demanding characters.
According to reports, Soori is now said to be seeking approximately Rs 25 crore for his next project. If accurate, the figure would represent a substantial increase in his remuneration and place him financially closer to several established Tier-2 Tamil heroes.
The upcoming project is reportedly set to be directed by Ravikumar, known for films including Indru Netru Naalai and Ayalaan.
