Rudhran movie review
Story:
Raghava Lawrence is a youngster who completes his studies and becomes a software employee.
He lives a happy life with his parents and gets ready to marry his lover Priya Bhavani Shankar.
But his life starts crumbling in front of his own eyes.
Raghava’s father dies when his friend cheats him and heavy debts fall on him.
He takes the family responsibility and Priya marries him and stays by his side during the tough times.
When Raghava goes to London and works hard to clear the debts, his mother dies and he returns to India only to find out that Priya is missing as well.
What did Raghava do then forms the rest of the story.
Analysis:
Director Kathiresan has stuck to the regular commercial movie template.
However, what works in his favour is the way in which he has presented the movie and the screenplay.
He has played to the gallery and has utilised Raghava Lawrence’s strength to an effective manner.
Raghava Lawrence brings the much needed mass and versatality for the role.
As usuall he shines in the action sequences and delivers some good emotional performance as well.
Priya Bhavani Shankar has very little screenspace but is impressive in her brief appearance.
Sarathkumar returns back as the villain and is terrifying.
Rajasekhar ‘s Cinematography is good and is in sync with the story.
Music by G V Prakash is good and BGM by Sam CS elevates most of the scenes.
Rest of the technical aspects are okay.
