MGM Healthcare Chennai raises awareness through its month long initiative on ‘Breast Cancer’

MGM Healthcare, a leading quaternary care super-specialty hospital under the banner of ‘Being Her’ by Varam, celebrated ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month’ in the city. The hospital organized fun-filled activities which includes Cyclothon (Cycle for a Cause), Walkathon (Walk for a Cause) and Yoga/Zumba session (Move for a Cause).
The Cyclothon was flagged-off from the War Memorial on Marina Beach by Thiru Shankar Jiwal, IPS, Commissioner of Police. Thiru M K Mohan, MLA, Anna Nagar Constituency flagged-off the Walkathon from MGM Healthcare to Anna Nagar Tower Park followed by an exhilarating Yoga/Zumba session with Actress and Fitness Enthusiast Sakshi Agarwal.
The idea behind the events was to promote fitness, create awareness about the incidence of breast cancer in India, and follow a healthy routine for women which can aid in combating the onset of breast cancer at an early stage. The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation from the residents of Chennai.
