Lockdown in TN extended till 7 June

Tamilnadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has announced that the existing lockdown in the State will be extended for one more week till 7 June.

A government order from Stalin said that the food essentials will be either home delivered or will be sold in the local stores in partnership with the local civic authorities between 7am and 6pm.

Shops are also allowed to deliver products to customer if they order over phone.

“I have also ordered the cooperation and consumer protection department to sell a kit of 13-grocery items to all rice cardholders from the month of June in all PDS outlets,” Stalin said.

Stalin appealed to people to avoid stepping out of residences or for meetings when the state is under total lockdown to prevent the spread of virus.
