Chitukurinji’ First Single ‘Kurinji Mala Mela’ Crosses 1.5 M+ Views on YouTube
The first single from the upcoming Tamil feel-good romantic classic Chitukurinji, titled ‘Kurinji Mala Mela’, has crossed the 1.5 M+ views milestone on YouTube, while receiving an encouraging response from audiences. The peppy wedding number is sung by Ramya Nambeesan, with lyrics penned by Ku. Karthik and music composed by debutant composer Maara.
Produced by Black and White Media Solutions Private Limited, Chitukurinji has already generated curiosity with its distinctive blend of romance, comedy and fantasy. The makers recently announced that the film has successfully completed its dubbing phase and moved on to the final phase of post-production. Written and directed by debut filmmaker VJ Meenakshi Sundharam, Chitukurinji promises to offer audiences a refreshing cinematic experience, blending an engaging romantic narrative with humour and fantasy.
The film features Rajith Menon in the lead, alongside Deepshika and Naksha Saran, Sriram Karthik makes a special guest appearance.
One of the major highlights of Chitukurinji is its elaborate visual recreation of the year 1983. To authentically bring the period to life, the team constructed a sprawling village set across nearly 80 acres on the scenic slopes of Palangi Hills, Kodaikanal.
Adding further grandeur to the film’s musical experience, the background score was recorded with a live orchestra featuring internationally acclaimed musicians at the renowned Budapest Scoring Company studio in Budapest, Hungary.
The film marks the debut of composer Maara, featuring cinematography by Francis Rajkumar A., editing by Mahendran Ganesan, and art direction by Ramji. It is produced by D. Jude Anantth under Black and White Media Solutions Private Limited, and co-produced by Rajesh R, Dr. K.S. Senthil, and Kadaiyanenthal R.A. Peter.
With ‘‘Kurinji Mala Mela” crossing the 1.5M+ views mark and winning appreciation from listeners, the makers are confident that the film’s music and its unique storytelling will further build anticipation ahead of its theatrical release.
