Azhagiya Kanne movie review

Leo Sivakumar who hails from Dindigul aspires to become a filmmaker.

As a part of this, he writes and stages drama in his village.

Sanchitta Shetty who is his neighbour falls in love with him.

Eventually Leo also falls in love with Sanchitta.

Though they both belong to different communities, they decide to get married despite the opposition from their families.

Leo gets an opporuntiy to work as assistant director with director Prabhu Solomon.

He leaves for Chennai along with his family. Sanchitta joins a IT company in the city.

The couple give birth to a girl baby. When everything seems to go smooth, one of Sanchitta’s relatives decides to take revenge on Leo, what happens next forms the rest of the story.

Directed by R Vijayakumar, the movie takes its own sweet time to take its get to the main plot.

The story is not something new and the presentation is also not upto the mark.

However, there a few feel good moments in the movie which makes it for a decent watch.

Leo Sivakumar is good in his role. He reflects the emotions of his character in a decent manner, but he could have done better.

Sanchitta Shetty gets to play a matured role and it is good to see her in a different avatar all together.

Rest of the cast have also done their part well.

Raghunathan’s music for the movie is plesant and is complimented well by A R Ashok Kumar’s camerawork.
