Adiye movie review

Story:

GV Prakash a grieving youngster, who is on the verge of taking his life.

However, he listens to Gouri Kishan song on TV and it changes his life.

It reminds him of his school days when he developed feelings for Gouri.

Meanwhile, there’s scientist Venkat Prabhu, who has lost his device.

How does this scientific device cause changes in Jeeva’s life and how his life progresses in an alternate reality?

Analysis:

Director Vignesh Karthick strips the complexity of time travel and breaks it down for the layman.

The director takes his sweet time to explain the concept of a parallel universe or alternate reality.

G V Prakash is fantastic in his role and has handled various emotions such as humour, anger and agony with ease in the character.

Gouri Kishan gets a meaty role and has made full use of the opportuniy at hand.

The movie is quite enjoyable because of the chemistry between GV Prakash and Gouri Kishan.

Venkat Prabhu’s act largely entertains the audience.  Mirchi Vijay’s character’s dialogues are a representation of what the audience thinks.

Rest of the cast have delivered what was expected from them .

Justin Prabhakaran’s songs and music go hand-in-hand with the movie.

Cinematography by Gokul Binoy is colourful. Rest of the technical aspects are passable.

Rating: 3.4/5
