Youth is a refreshing and heartfelt coming-of-age film that marks an impressive debut for Ken Karunaas as both director and lead actor. After being recognized for his performance in Asuran, he confidently steps into a new space, delivering a sincere and engaging narrative. Supported by a strong ensemble cast including Suraj Venjaramoodu, Devadarshini, Anishma, and Meenakshi Dinesh, the film is further elevated by G. V. Prakash Kumar’s soulful music.
The story beautifully captures the emotional journey of adolescence, focusing on a young boy navigating friendship, self-discovery, and the first stirrings of love. It thoughtfully explores the balance between youthful distractions and the desire to meet family expectations, making the narrative both relatable and meaningful.
Ken Karunaas shines with a natural screen presence, bringing warmth and charm to his role.
