Young Entrepreneur Champions Eco-Friendly Ganesh Idols, Expands Business Globally
At just 15 years old, Krisha is making waves with her eco-friendly Ganesh idol business. What started as a small venture at the age of 11 has grown into a thriving enterprise, spanning across markets in Mumbai and Dubai, and making a significant impact on both the environment and her community.
Krisha’s journey began four years ago after a heartfelt conversation with her father about the challenges of running a business. Inspired by the idea of entrepreneurship and wanting to make a difference, Krisha created her first 10-inch eco-friendly Ganesh idol for Ganesh Chaturthi. Her idols, crafted from sustainable and biodegradable materials, provide an eco-conscious alternative to conventional idols, helping to minimize environmental impact during Ganesh Chaturthi.
Krisha’s business is not only environmentally conscious but also socially responsible. She collaborates with local artisans to create these idols, thereby supporting their livelihoods and promoting traditional craftsmanship. Her venture has become a source of income for many artisans, helping uplift the community.
Since then, her business has expanded, now offering three different sizes—8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch idols. With a focus on environmental consciousness, Krisha has helped reduce the use of over 250 non-eco- friendly idols and has contributed to the planting of more than 250 trees through her initiatives.
Not only is Krisha dedicated to protecting the environment, but she is also committed to giving back. Inspired by an internship at the Mohan Foundation, an organization that promotes organ donation, Krisha donates her profits to this cause. Her experience at the foundation opened her eyes to the life-changing impact of organ donation, and she is now passionate about raising awareness and supporting the foundation’s mission.
Krisha’s inspiring story is a testament to how determination and heart can drive meaningful change, even at a young age. Her eco-friendly Ganesh idols are a symbol of her commitment to both her business and the planet, and her efforts are making a positive difference in reducing pollution, supporting artisans, and promoting organ donation.
