Woman cop sexually harassed at Pazhavanthangal station
A woman police officer was reportedly sexually harassed at Pazhavanthangal railway station while walking outside the premises.
According to sources, the officer was pushed down and harassed by an unidentified person. Following the incident, the police registered a case under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 1998, and investigations are currently underway.
Previous Crime at the Same Location
This incident comes just days after another crime at the same railway station. On February 15, a policewoman fell victim to a chain-snatching near the station. However, alert passersby chased the suspect, caught him, and handed him over to the Railway Police.
Authorities are now investigating whether the two incidents are linked and are working to enhance security in the area.
