White Rose Movie Review

Director K Rajashekar’s enthralling crime thriller, “White Rose,” entices audiences with its gripping sequences and captivating twists. While the film boasts a solid plot and engaging narrative, occasional lapses in logic and continuity hinder its overall credibility.

The storyline follows Divya (portrayed by Kayal Anandhi), who reluctantly turns to sex work following the tragic demise of her husband, Ashraf. Ashraf’s accidental death during a police encounter with terrorists leaves Divya burdened by debt owed to moneylenders and financiers. Matters worsen when one of these creditors kidnaps Divya’s daughter, Dia, demanding repayment under threat of selling Dia into human trafficking.

Desperate to rescue her child, Divya ventures into the perilous world of sex work. However, her first assignment exposes her to a dangerous client, revealing a potential serial killer. As Divya navigates this treacherous situation, the film unfolds into a tense and suspenseful thriller.

Despite its compelling premise, “White Rose” suffers from occasional amateur performances and narrative inconsistencies. While Kayal Anandhi delivers a convincing portrayal of Divya and R K Suresh impresses as Dilip, the film struggles to maintain its momentum due to these shortcomings.

Furthermore, the film’s lapses in continuity and logic, such as Divya’s miraculous recovery from a severe head injury without medical intervention, detract from its overall authenticity. Nevertheless, “White Rose” manages to retain its intrigue and captivate audiences through its intelligent plotline and engaging storytelling.

In conclusion, “White Rose” offers a captivating cinematic experience, albeit with flaws. While it may falter at times, its gripping narrative and compelling characters ensure that it remains an intriguing crime thriller that is sure to entertain audiences.
