Vishwanath & Sons audio launch scheduled for August 2 at Nehru Stadium
The audio launch of Suriya’s upcoming film Vishwanath & Sons will reportedly take place on August 2 at Chennai’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
The film marks Suriya’s 46th outing as a lead actor and follows the success of Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. It is scheduled to hit theatres on August 14.
Mamitha Baiju stars opposite Suriya, while Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Bhavani Sre and Yogi Babu feature in important roles.
As part of the promotions, the makers recently released “The Wedding Song,” sung by Suriya and penned by Ken Karunas. The track follows the earlier release of “Pattampoochi,” which received a positive response from listeners.
The film is reportedly centred on a romance between a middle-aged man and a younger woman. The technical team includes composer GV Prakash Kumar, cinematographer Nimish Ravi and editor Navin Nooli.
Trade reports suggest the film has already generated pre-release business exceeding ₹300 crore. Industry observers attribute the strong response to the success of Karuppu and director Venky Atluri’s previous commercial hits, including Vaathi and Lucky Baskhar.
