Vishnu Vishal’s upcoming thriller to skip theatrical release

Vishnu Vishal, who had two releases last year, FIR and Gatta Kusthi, has three films – Lal Salaam, Aaryan and Mohandas in his kitty.

The actor has been kicked about his ongoing project Lal Salaam which has Aishwarya Rajinikanth at its helm. Superstar Rajinikanth is playing a cameo in the movie and his poster was unveiled recently.

Mohandas, which has been lying in cans for a while, is a much-awaited film from the actor.

Its teaser was unveiled more than a year ago and garnered good response among film buffs.

However, no update from the project was revealed further. Directed by Murali Karthick, it features Aishwarya Rajesh, Indrajith, Karunakaran and Lallu among others in key roles.

It is now heard that the makers have decided to skip theatrical release for the film.

Though an official announcement pertaining to the same is awaited, a trusted source has said that the thriller flick will drop on Jio Cinema. Interestingly, this will be the first Tamil film to have a direct release on the platform.
