Vettaiyan movie review

Story:

Rajinikanth is a cop who always stands for justice even if it means taking the law into his own hands.

Meanwhile Amitabh Bachchan is a senior lawyer and human rights champion who believes law is above all.

The core plot of the movie revolves around what makes Rajinikanth reinvestigate his own case.

How is Rana connected with this case and what happens next forms the crux of the story.

Analysis:

Directed by T J Gnanavel first half of the movie has some engaging investigation sequences and mass moments.

Rajinikanth’s grand opening and his scenes with Fahadh Faasil stands out.

The second half is elevated by the the emotional and action sequences.

As usual Rajinikanth blends into the character effortlessly and switches between the emotional and mass appeal in a neat manner.

Fahadh Faasil is a treat to watch and has done complete justice to his character.

Amitabh Bachchan acts as the moral compass of the movie and his portrayal of the role is an added advantage.

Rana Daggubati and Manju Warrier have  delivered what was expected from them.

Anirudh’s BGM blends seamlessly with the narrative and there are also mass Rajini moments.

Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are good as well.
