“Trauma” Movie Review
Trauma is an intriguing film that interweaves three seemingly unrelated storylines, gradually unveiling a sinister medical crime ring that exploits vulnerable individuals. At its heart, the movie raises an engaging philosophical question: can deception truly be considered a scam if the victim remains unaware of it?
The narrative follows Sundar, a man grappling with personal struggles, and his devoted wife, Geetha, who turns to fertility treatments in search of hope. Their journey highlights the emotional complexities surrounding medical uncertainties. Meanwhile, Poornima Ravi , a spirited young woman, embarks on a romance with Jeeva, adding a fresh layer of tenderness to the film. Simultaneously, two car thieves unwittingly find themselves entangled in a larger scheme, introducing moments of tension and unpredictability.
As the story unfolds, the film takes the audience through a maze of ethical dilemmas, human desires, and unexpected twists. The central theme revolving around fertility clinics and questionable medical practices is both relevant and thought-provoking. While certain events may seem exaggerated, they effectively serve the purpose of heightening the film’s dramatic intensity.
One of the film’s strengths lies in its performances. Vivek Prasanna brings depth and vulnerability to Sundar’s character, making his struggles relatable. Chandini shines as Geetha, portraying the emotional weight of her role with grace. The supporting cast adds charm and credibility, ensuring that each character leaves an impact.
Trauma also delves into societal perceptions of masculinity and personal identity, themes that are explored through an engaging mix of drama and suspense. While some moments lean toward sentimentality, they ultimately enhance the emotional core of the narrative.
Overall, Trauma is a film that sparks conversation. Despite a few narrative conveniences, its unique premise, strong performances, and engaging themes make it a thought-provoking watch that lingers in the mind long after the credits roll.
