Top IAS officers reshuffled in Tamil Nadu
Atul Anand has been appointed as the new Secretary for the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department in Tamil Nadu. His appointment, which was announced in a government order, comes as part of a broader reshuffling within the state’s administration.
Anand, a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, takes over from his predecessor and will be responsible for overseeing the development and growth of small and medium businesses in the state. This is a key role, as MSMEs play an important part in Tamil Nadu’s economy by creating jobs, driving innovation, and contributing to the state’s industrial ecosystem.
In addition to his role in the MSME department, Anand will focus on implementing various government schemes aimed at providing financial support, technical assistance, and promoting entrepreneurship across the state. His leadership is expected to play a crucial role in further strengthening the state’s efforts to support and boost its MSME sector.
This appointment is seen as part of the ongoing administrative changes to ensure effective governance and economic development in Tamil Nadu.
M Arthi takes has been appointed as the secretary to deputy chief minister Udhayanidhi Stalin. She will also hold the additional responsibility of state project director of Samagra Shiksha.
C Samayamoorthy will be the secretary to the human resources management department, replacing C Vijayaraj Kumar who held the position in an additional charge capacity.
Arun Thamburaj has been appointed as mission director of the National Health Mission. He will also be the project director of Tamil Nadu Health System Project.
Shilpa Prabhakar Satish will be the director of tourism and managing director of Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation.
