TN Cabinet Portfolios allotted: CM Vijay retains key portfolios, Sengottaiyan gets finance, Aadhav Arjuna PWD

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay on Saturday announced the allocation of portfolios for his Cabinet, while retaining several major departments under his direct control.

These include Home, Police, Municipal Administration, Women and Child Welfare, Youth Welfare, Urban Water Supply, and Special Programme Implementation.

Senior leader KA Sengottaiyan was assigned the Finance Department and will also oversee pensions and pension allowances.

S Keerthana was given charge of Industries and Investment Promotion, making her one of the key members of the new Cabinet. N Anand took over Rural Development and Water Resources. His responsibilities include panchayats, poverty alleviation programmes, rural indebtedness, and irrigation projects.

Aadhav Arjuna was appointed Minister for Public Works and Sports Development. His departments include highways, buildings, minor ports, and sports.

Dr KG Arunraj received the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare portfolios. P Venkataramanan was entrusted with Food and Civil Supplies, along with Consumer Protection and Price Control.

R Nirmalkumar was allocated the Energy Resources and Law departments. His responsibilities include electricity, renewable energy, courts, prisons, anti-corruption measures, elections, and legislative affairs.

Rajmohan became Minister for School Education, Tamil Development, Information and Publicity. He will also supervise archaeology, Tamil culture, film technology, government printing, and related departments. Dr TK Prabhu was assigned the Natural Resources portfolio, including minerals and mines.
