Three arrested in Deepfake case involving Rukmini Vasanth

Bengaluru Cyber Crime Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the creation and circulation of AI-generated content targeting actor Rukmini Vasanth.

The investigation began after the actor filed a complaint alleging that manipulated videos and images falsely portraying her in revealing situations were being shared online. She maintained that the material was fabricated using artificial intelligence and deepfake technology.

Rukmini Vasanth has gained prominence through several major film projects and is currently involved in multiple high-profile productions.

Following her complaint, cyber crime investigators tracked the spread of the content and identified suspects allegedly involved in producing and distributing the manipulated media. During the operation, police seized three mobile phones as part of the evidence collection process.
