Theerkadarishi movie review

Story:

Sriman works in the police control room. There are frequent anonymous phone calls that spoil their work, and a call like that comes through.

The police are oblivious to the call that a woman will be murdered in Adyar area saying it was an anonymous call. But as the voice says, a woman is killed.

Similar calls continue and the things said over phone happen as well. This also grabs the attention of the media and goes viral.

Police appoints Deputy Commissioner  Ajmal for the job. Police officers Jaiwant and Jai Dushyant, who were handling the case before Ajmal, work together with Ajmal to crack it.

Was the team able to solve the mystery, who is the anonymous caller forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:

The film’s plot is refreshingly new and director duo PG Mohan and LR Sundarapandi have handled it in an effective manner.

Screenplay of the movie is it’s major strength. There is no lag and the story is narrated in a fast manner.

The movie has strong performances coming from some gifted actors.  Ajmal, who plays the lead, looks and lives the part of Deputy Commissioner Aditya. He comes up with a convincing performance that adds immense value to the film.

Sathyaraj, who plays a major role, makes an appearance only towards the end of the film. Nevertheless, he scores yet again.

Sriman and Devadarshini have delivered a neat performance. Rest of the actors have also done their part well.

Laxman’s cinematography is neat and impressive. G Balasubramanian’s background score is impressive.
