The Musical I Can Awards 2025 – First Edition Celebrates Excellence in Music Chennai, November 6, 2025

The inaugural edition of The Musical I Can Awards 2025 was successfully held on Thursday, November 6th, at the historic Egmore Museum Theatre, Chennai. Organized by Tie Up Events and PR in association with Raga Dreamworks, the event marked a significant milestone in creating an exclusive platform dedicated solely to honouring achievers from the world of music.

The ceremony was formally inaugurated by Smt. B. Yamuna Devi, IRS, Thiru. Tamizh Vendan, IRS, Mrs. and Mr. Gopikrishnan, Mrs. and Mr. Vinu Hasan, Mr. Anil Dangi, Mr. Babu, and Ms. Nisha Umagopal, in the presence of an enthusiastic gathering of artistes, dignitaries, patrons, and music lovers.

This first-of-its-kind awards celebration recognized more than 30 distinguished awardees from various segments of the music fraternity, including playback singers, music directors, instrumentalists, lyricists, and music technicians whose talent and contributions continue to shape the musical landscape.

The highlight of the evening was the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Thiru. Gangai Amaran, the iconic music composer, playback singer, director, and lyricist whose creative legacy has influenced generations. Veteran filmmaker, actor, and writer K. Bhagyaraj, who graced the occasion as one of the chief guests, presented the award, creating a deeply memorable moment for the audience.

Another eminent honour, the Ever Inspiring Legend Award, was conferred upon the acclaimed music composer and singer-songwriter Bharadwaj, recognizing his enduring impact and artistic journey in the industry.

Speaking about the vision behind the initiative, Mr. Vinu Hasan, Founder of The Musical I Can Awards, shared:
“This event has been a dream for many years – a space where music itself is the focus, where every contributor to the art form is acknowledged with dignity. It was only when I joined hands with Mr. Gopikrishnan of Raga Dreamworks, whose unwavering support and commitment strengthened the foundation of this effort, that this dream could be brought to life. The evening featured soulful musical performances, heartfelt tributes, and a sense of artistic camaraderie that reflected the true spirit of music appreciation.

With its successful debut, The Musical I Can Awards is set to continue as an annual celebration, expanding its scope in the years to come and nurturing a cultural ecosystem that uplifts and honours talent across the musical spectrum.
