“Tharunam” Movie Review

Director Aravind Srinivasan’s thriller Movie “Tharunam”

Life is filled with unforeseen moments—some bring happiness, while others present hurdles. It’s how these moments shape us that makes life intriguing. Director Aravind Srinivasan delves into this concept with a gripping suspense thriller. Spanning the film offers an engaging journey, brimming with emotions and unexpected twists.

The story revolves around Kishan Das and Smrithi Venkat , who fall in love after meeting unexpectedly. However, their happiness is short-lived, as the villain Raj Iyappan has other plans. He wants to trap Smrithi in his web of desire

As the story unfolds, Kishan Das, who is a CRPF police officer, must use his intelligence to outsmart Raj Iyappan and save Smrithi. The film’s climax is thrilling, with unexpected twists and turns.

Vishal shines as Kishan Das, bringing a sense of authenticity to his role. Smrithi Venkat also delivers a good performance, although she could improve her emotional expressions. Raj Iyappan is convincing as the villain, but his sudden death is unexpected.

The supporting cast, including Balasaravanan and Geetha Kailasam, deliver good performances. The film’s music, composed by Tharbu Ka Shiva, is a strength, although the placement of a romantic song at the end feels unnecessary. The cinematography by Raja Bhattacharjee is also noteworthy.

While the film is engaging, there are some logical loopholes, particularly in the second half. The film’s climax feels a bit convenient, with everything falling into place too easily. Nevertheless, the film keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering what will happen next.

Overall, the film is a gripping thriller that keeps you engaged, despite some minor flaws.
