Tamilnadu BJP thanks Chief Minister for putting Srirangam Jeeyar appointment on hold
Tamilnadu BJP State media unit chief ANS Prasad today thanked Chief Minister M K Stalin for putting on hold the announcement of the appointment of Srirangam Jeeyar.
In a statement, Prasad said as soon as the news about the appointment of Jeeyar was made, several people wanted the announcement to be withdrawn.
“At a time when the new government is fighting against covid, we expressed our concern in a clear manner following which the announcemenet has been withdrawn. I thank the Chief Minister for understanding the Agama rules,’ he said.
He further said,” Once the battle against the coronavirus is over, Chief Minister should development of a special action plan for the management of temples by the HR&CE. A committee comprising Hindu spiritual leaders should be formed and their suggestions should be heard for the revival of the temples.”
