Tamilarasan movie review

Story:

Vijay Antony is a honest cop who lives with his wife Ramya Nambeesan and son.

He is suspended following a fight with his superior. Meanwhile, he comes to know that his son has a heart condition and should undergo a heart transplant at the earliest.

However, the hospital in which he is admitted demands Rs 20 lakh to prioritise Vijay Antony’s son to get the heart.

This leads to a quarell between Vijay Antony and the hospital management. The hospital management also decides to give the heart a politician who is ready to pay a huge sum.

Angered by this, Vijay Antony hijacks the hospital with a senior doctor and demands that his son undergoes the heart transplant surgery. What happens next forms the crux of the story.

Analysis:

Director Babu Yogeswaran research that has went into get the details of the heart transplant is appreciable.

A better screenplay and writing could have made the movie all the more interesting.

Once, Vijay Antony takes the doctor as hostage, the film becomes very predictable.

Vijay Antony has complete justice to his character and suits the role of a affectionate father.

He has brought out the emotions of a helpless father in a convincing manner.

Ramya Nambeesan does not have much to do in the movie and just makes her presence felt in the scenes that she appears.

As far as rest of the cast is concerence, Suresh Gopi gets a meaty role.

Yogi Babu, Chaya Singh, Radha Ravi, Sonu Sood have all done their part well.

Ilayaraja’s music is good, and camerawork by R D Rajasekar is impressive.

Rest of the technical aspects of the movie are passable.
