Tamil Nadu Cabinet reshuffle: Duraimurugan assigned Law, Regupathy gets Natural Resources
In a minor reshuffle of the Tamil Nadu cabinet, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has reallocated key portfolios, according to an official announcement today.
Senior Minister and DMK General Secretary Duraimurugan, who currently holds the Water Resources portfolio and previously oversaw Mines and Minerals, has now been assigned the Law portfolio.
Taking over the critical Mines and Minerals responsibility is Minister S. Regupathy. He has been designated as the Minister for Natural Resources, which encompasses the Mines and Minerals portfolio. Regupathy previously held the Law portfolio.
The changes were confirmed in a statement released by the Tamil Nadu Raj Bhavan, which stated: “Based on the recommendation of the Chief Minister, the portfolio of Law has been allotted to Duraimurugan, Minister for Water Resources. Further, the portfolio of Minerals and Mines has been allotted to S. Regupathy and he has been designated as Minister for Natural Resources.”
This reshuffling marks the second significant change within Chief Minister Stalin’s cabinet in less than two weeks.
