Two animals smugglers steal away two German shepherds from a rich house. When they are taking them on a vehicle, its doors opens due to a bump on the road.
As one of the pups falls down, it is rescued by Assistant Commissioner of Police Santhosh (Srikanth). He names it Rocky and trains the dog so that it can join the police department.
All goes well till Santhosh crosses the path of MLA Thenappan (Sayaji Shinde) and his aide Pandi (OAK Sundar). They murder Santhosh.
But Rocky is not ready to forget things and vows to take revenge on Thenappan and Pandi. How it succeeds in its mission forms the rest of Rocky: The Revenge.
ANALYSIS:
After making similar animal-themed movies in Bollywood, veteran director K C Bokadia makes his debut in Kollywood with Rocky: The Revenge.
The film carries an age-old story and reminds us of movies from the 1980s. There is novelty in the screenplay too. As a result, efforts put by the whole team, including Srikanth and Bokadia, go in vain.
Brahmanandam tries to tickle the funny bone, while Sayaji Shinde is your routine villain. Nasser appears as police commissioner and performs some stunts too.
Eshanya Maheshwari who comes as Srikanth’s wife fails to evoke sympathy from us. However, the hero of the movie, is the German Shepherd Rocky which walks away with the re(a)ward.
