Chennai Palani Mars: Lack of space
STORY:
Aakash (Praveen Raja) is ambitious about going to Mars with zero-cost strategy with the help of an alient object that can teleport a person.
To achieve the mission, he and his friend Aandava Perumal, both drug addicts, are on their way to Palani hills. As they steal a bike, they are chased by two police officers- Thiruppa and Velu.
What are all the obstacles faced by Aakash and his friend in reaching the Mars? Are they really able to do it or not? Chennai Palani Mars tries to find answers to these questions.
ANALYSIS:
Chennai Palani Mars kindled a lot of curiosity not just because of its intriguing title, but also because of the fact that it is bankrolled by versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi.
Besides producing the movie, Vijay Sethupathi has also penned its dialogues, and we have to say despite carrying an interesting knot, Chennai Palani Mars is let down by a unconvining screenplay, lethargic making and tiring scenes.
The likes of Praveen Raja, Rajesh Giriprasad, Ravikumar and Sivajiraja have performed well. Black humour in certain scenes of the flick strike a chord with the audience.
Reminding one of a stoner movie, Chennai Palani Mars is certainly a different attempt, but not a delicious one.
