STORY:
Billa Pandi (RK Suresh) is an ardent fan of Ajith. A construction labourer, he follows the ‘thala’ and his principles in his each and every action.
For him, his world revolves around two things- his grandmother and Ajith fans club. One day, his grandmother passes away and people around urge Pandi to enter wedlock with his aunt’s daughter Valli (Chandini Tamilarasan).
Meanwhile, he moves to another town for work where Jayalakshmi (Indhuja Ravichandran), the daughter of a family whose house Pandi constructs, falls for him.
Valli and Jayalakshmi’s father come to know about this and all hell breaks loose. Is Pandi able to overcome all the problems forms the rest of Billa Pandi.
ANALYSIS:
For those fans of Ajith who are worried over their thala film not getting released this Deepavali, here is Billa Pandi, which eulogises the ‘Ultimate Star’ in almost each and every frame.
There are dialogues, songs, scenes, mobile ring tones etc praising Ajith. Suresh, after taking the avatars of producer, distributor and actor, has played the protagonist in this film and has done justice.
Both Chandini and Indhuja are performance-oriented actresses and have scored well. Ilayavan’s music is one of the strengths of the movie.
Director Saravana Sakthi has taken up an interesting plot and has loaded it with love, sentiments and action. But certain scenes test our patience. Overall, Billa Pandi will be enjoyed by Ajith fans and family audience.
