Adutha Saattai: Sound syllabus

STORY:

Dayalan (Samuthirakani) is a Tamil professor in an arts and science college. Though the college has some good students, it is divided by caste.

Even the principal (Thambi Ramaiah) has caste feelings. Dayalan tries his best to change the mindset of students and bring unity among them.

He also instills positivity among them and offers solutions to uplift their lives. Is his mission a success or not?

ANALYSIS:

Adutha Saattai, directed by Anbazhagan with Samuthirakani playing the lead role, is a movie with messages. It tries to offer solutions to problems faced by college students.

Samuthirakani has repeated his act of Appa and Saattai, and has delivered goods. The way he conveys powerful dialogues strikes an impact among the audience.

Thambi Ramaiah fits the bill well, while Yuvan and Athulya are there in key roles. Though the movie conveys an apt message, it is loaded with preachy scenes and dialogues.

The first half wanders, while the second half is gripping. On the whole, Adutha Saattai is for those who look for not just entertainment, but infotainment.
