Paramapatham Vilayattu movie review

Story:

Chezhiyan (Vela Ramamoorthy), the Chief Minister of the state who enjoys a massive following, is hospitalised and his political party is on the verge of splitting into two. Amidst heated discussion among the party members on who should be the next CM, Gayatri (Trisha), the doctor who treated the CM, smells a foul play in the former’s death. She secures evidences related to the suspicious death, but gets kidnapped along with her daughter Suji (Baby Manasvi). Who was the reason behind Chezhiyan’s death and was Gayathrie able to escape her kidnappers forms the rest of the story.

Analysis:
Director K Thirugnanam has tried to incorporate real life incidents into the story to make it interesting. However, apart from that the movie falls flat at most parts. Trisha has tried her best to salvage the movie. She is earnest as the doctor and emotional as the mother to save her daughter. Nandha Durairaj comes as dutiful son in the beginning and later has a twist in his character. Baby Manasvi has performed well as the mute girl. Cinematography by J Dinesh suits the mood of the movie well. BGM by Amreesh Ganesh is average.

Rating: 3/5
