Kaavalthurai Ungal Nanban Movie Review

STORY:

Prabhu (Suresh Ravi), a food delivery person and his wife, Indu (Raveena Ravi), marry against the wishes of her family and start living alone.

Indu is the breadwinner of the family as Prabhu tries to go abroad. Prabhu somehow manages to get the amount required to go abroad, also learns that his wife is pregnant.

But their happiness does not last long as Indu is robbed of the money and is molested. When they go file a complaint in the police station, Prabhu confronts the station Inspector Kannabiran (Mime Gopi), who decides to make sure that he makes Prabhu’s life a living hell.

ANALYSIS:

Director RDM has taken up a unqiue line and with impactful dialogues makes the story interesting. Violent scenes are not shown elaborately and that is one of the positive points of this film.

The scenes are shot quite naturally, especially the scenes when Kannabiran and Prabhu meet, create an impact. However, the film hardly has any positivity.

Suresh’s expressions are fine and he fits in the role well. Raveena has done justice to the given character. Mime Gopi is the menacing villain and he is perfect with his part.

The star selection is adequate and the casting team receives thumbs up. The BGM by Adhithyaa, Soorya and the cinematography by K S Vishnushri make us travel with the story.

Editing by Vadivel and Vimalraj  is neat. The film is loaded with satisfying performances and neat technical works, but only highlights the negative things of life.
