Here and there

STORY:

Jeeva (Sasikumar) is a social activist who works against the caste system. While he arranges a conference of like-minded youngsters, the leader of a caste party unleashes violence in it.

Meanwhile, Jeeva’s marriage gets fixed with Sowmya (Athulya). Only on the night of his wedding, he learns that Sowmya was forced to marry him by her parents and she was in love with someone else.

Jeeva, the activist that he is, sends his wife with her lover. However, on coming to know about this, Sowmya’s parents and relatives vow to find out the whereabouts of Sowmya and her lover to murder them.

Jeeva, with the help of his friends (or sagos), is now on a mission to save Sowmya and her boyfriend. Is he able to do it?

ANALYSIS:

Though Samuthirakani is basically a director, he is busy these days as actor and most of his on-screen roles deliver loads and loads of messages.

And, taking a break from acting, he has done the same thing as director in Nadodigal 2. The film is packed with tonnes of messages and we get tired at one point of time.

Sasikumar has performed with passion, while Athulya Ravi is adequate. Anjali appears as the energetic Sengodi, but has got nothing much to do.

The film is technically good, but all good things get diluted in messages. It is high time for Samuthirakani to change his route and present us a film which would be as solid as Nadodigal.
