Avane Sriman Narayana: Fantasy, Feud
STORY:
The story happens in a fantasy village called Amaravathi reeling under a feudal system. The feudal lord of Amaravathi dies leading to fight between his sons Jayaram and Tukaram, who are born to different mothers.
There is a hidden treasure in Amaravathi, but both Jayarama and Tukarama are not able to find it. Srimannarayana (Rakshit Shetty), a corrupt police inspector, enters the scene.
The story follows Narayana’s efforts to find the missing treasure and save the locals from the tyranny of Jayaram and Tukaram.
ANALYSIS:
Avane Srimannarayana is the kind of film where Indiana Jones meets the Spaghetti Western to pave the way for a story with a punchy mythological twist.
The film directed by Sachin Ravi starring Rakshit Shetty in the lead role has a drama troupe, dacoits, cowboys, a bad cop, lost treasure, and a lot more for viewers to savour.
The film hints at some of the cinematic greats from the West, specially Quentin Tarantino who excels at the genre. The quirky tale brings fantasy alive on-screen, a genre rarely explored by filmmakers here.
Rakshit gives his best and impresses us with his acting skills. Achyuth Kumar as Achyutanna, Pramod Shetty as Tukaram, Balaji Manohar as Jayaram and Shanvi Srivastava as Lakshmi have contributed equally to the film.
The story draws you into a world full of surprises. From cowboys to a bunch of boisterous drama actors and the search for missing treasure, Avane Srimannarayana works because it dares to experiment, especially with the fantasy genre.
