Spider-Man: Far From Home – Feel at home

Marvel Cinematic Universe’s latest Spider-Man movie features Tom Holland playing the role of Peter Parker. The film starts off by showing Nick Fury and Maria Hill facing the worst storm in Mexico.
During that time, it is revealed the storm is caused by Elemental. Then and there, a superhero, Quentin Beck, arrives there and fights him off. From here, starts a roller-coaster ride.
When compared to the previous parts, Spider-Man: Far From Home is a lot better in many departments, particularly its action set pieces and the rapid-fire comic exchanges.
The comedy on Spider-Man: Far From Home also benefits off a minor subplot involving Peter’s best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) and his new girlfriend Betty Brant, and the space it creates for small moments.
In a wonderful touch, one scene shows Mysterio “rehearsing” for his staged victories with his production team, assembling his fight sequences as though they are shooting a superhero film-within-the-film.
The post-credit scenes in Far From Home are absolutely show-stopping, shining an exciting light beam on the next phase of the MCU. As long as Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige understands that superhero fatigue is a very real threat, the MCU is in good hands.
Apart from the really stretched action sequence in the end, there isn’t a lot to complain about in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The superhero creators might feel the need to lower down the average age of superhero characters after this one. Yes, it’s that youthful. After the hype that Avengers Endgame was, this one is a totally worthy successor. Hardly any reasons to not watch it.
