Seven Movie Review

STORY:

Ramya (Nandita Sweta) goes to the police station and files a complaint that her husband Karthik (Koneru Havish) has gone missing. On listening to her, an alcoholic police officer (Rahman) gets a spark.

He gives a shock to Ramya by telling her that another woman named Jennie (Anisha Ambrose) has lodged a similar complaint against the same man.

Soon, one more woman, whose name is Priya (Tridha Chowdhury) approaches the police with the same grievance. The officer and his team get down to work to trace Karthik and they are under the impression that he is a fraud.

But they get the rude shock of their life when they are told by a mentally challenged person that the man they are searching for had died many years ago.

ANALYSIS:

Seven, directed by Nizar Shafi, sounds very interesting and promising on paper. Had the execution been equally good, the film would have ended up as one of the best thrillers of the year.

Rahman has continued his Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru act and has excelled. Nandita Swetha gets her emotions right, while Regina Cassandra is a value addition.

While certain scenes and twists are good, there are many logical loopholes which prevent us from getting involved in the flick.

Cinematography is one of the major advantages. But there is a feel of watching a movie dubbed from Telugu. In short, Seven is good in parts.
