Superstar gets nostalgic at the AVM Heritage Museum
One among India’s oldest, biggest production houses – AVM
Productions’ ‘AVM Heritage Museum’ was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin. Actor Kamal Haasan, who was introduced as a child actor in ‘Kalathur Kannamma”, a film produced by AVM Productions, along with DMK MP T R Baalu, Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister K Ponmudy, director S P Muthuraman, veteran actor Sivakumar and lyricist Vairamuthu graced the occasion. The museum consists of an assortment of audio and video equipment, including cameras, motorbikes, cars, used for shooting iconic Tamil movies such as Murattu Kaalai, Sakalakala Vallavan, Mundhanai Mudichu, Samsaram Athu Minsaram, Yejaman, among others.
The Suzuki RV90, which Superstar Rajinikanth rode in the 1983 Tamil film Paayum Puli, the bright red vintage MG TB car from the ‘Adhiradee’ song and the Sivaji statue in his 2007 film Sivaji – The Boss are definitely the cynosure of the museum.
