Stunt Director Anl Arasu Receives Taurus Award Nomination for Stunts in ‘Jawan’.
Indian Cinema’s leading Stunt Director ‘Anl’ Arasu known for his work in blockbuster films like Singam, Singam-2, Kaththi, Mersal, Bigil, the upcoming Indian-2 and many more in Tamil, Urumi, Comrade-in-America, Shylock in Malayalam and Mirchi, Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage in Telugu, Rowdy Rathore, Dabangg-2, Dabangg-3, Sultan, Race-3 and 2023’s highest grossing Hindi film ‘Jawan’, has been basking on its success. The acclaimed stunt master recently turned filmmaker with ‘Phoenix’ where he’ll be launching actor Vijay Sethupathi’s son Surya as the main protagonist. Over the years, he’s won various awards like Tamil Nadu State Government Award, Vikatan Awards, Vijay Awards, SIIMA Award, V4 MGR-Shivaji Academy Awards, South Indian Cinematographers Association Award, Norway Tamil Film Festival Award, International Indian Film Festival Award. He has also received awards like the Film Academy Award for his outstanding work as a stunt director.
Following this, he has been nominated for Best Stunts at the Taurus World Stunts Awards for ‘Jawan’ starring ‘Bollywood Badshah’ Shah Rukh Khan, directed by Atlee with music by Anirudh. The film became a huge success by crossing Rs.1400 crores at the box office. The film fetched him accolades and awards such as Filmfare Awards 2024 and Zee Cine Awards 2024 for his excellent work as the stunt director for the film ‘Jawan’.
To top it all off the list, he has been nominated at the ‘Taurus World Stunt Award’, an equivalent to the ‘Oscars’ in the field of Stunts. ‘Jawan’ has been selected alongside films like John Wick Chapter-4, Mission: Impossible-Dead Reckoning, Extraction-2 and Ballerina.
