STR 49 teaser promo release delayed, theatrical launch still planned
The promotional video for the eagerly awaited film ‘STR 49’, starring Silambarasan TR (STR) and directed by National Award-winner Vetrimaaran, has been postponed.
The promo, which was originally scheduled for release on October 4th, has reportedly been pushed back following the tragic stampede in Karur that claimed several lives.
Fans are now awaiting an official announcement for the new release date, with some reports suggesting it may be unveiled on October 18th.
In an exciting update for cinephiles, the producers confirmed that the promo will be released simultaneously in both theatres and on social media platforms, marking a special treat for STR’s dedicated fanbase.
The film is touted to be an intense crime/gangster saga set in a North Chennai backdrop, with Vetrimaaran hinting that the project may be connected to the cinematic universe he established with his 2018 film, ‘Vada Chennai’.
