Stella Maris College organised a Human Chain to raise awareness on the rights of differently abled

 A Human Chain for the rights of the differently abled was organised by NSS Units of Stella Maris College  outside the College premises. The main objective of the programme was to convey to the public about  inclusive society and equal rights for all. The NSS volunteers held placards to create awareness to the  public on the rights of differently abled.

Dr. Vaneeta Aggarwal, NSS Co-ordinator, University of Madras and Ms. Smitha Sadasivan, Member of  State Advisory Board for PWDs, Govt. of TN flagged off Human Chain along with Ms. Jeyapriya, Vice- Principal (Shift II), Stella Maris College. Dr. Sr. Stella Mary, Principal i/c, Stella Maris College along with  Programme Officers and Volunteers of NSS units sensitized the public on the rights of differently abled.

The NSS Units of Stella Maris College conducted a seven-day special camp titled “Empowering Youth for  Nation Building” for the academic year 2023 – 2024. As part of the camp, volunteers were given exposure  to urban communities, to conduct awareness programme to school children and also provide skill training  and personality development sessions in order to equip them to be socially responsible citizens.
