Stalin urges DMK MPs to firmly raise their voice in Parliament

DMK president and Chief Minister M K Stalin urged his party MPs to fight for the State’s financial rights in Parliament and secure adequate funds by highlighting the financial crisis faced by the State in their speeches.

Chairing a meeting of the MPs at their party headquarters on Friday, ahead of the start of the next Parliament session, Stalin cautioned them about the BJP desperately seeking to implement its own agenda in the country despite losing its original vim.

Urging the MPs to be vociferous in raising their voice while presenting their demands for the welfare of the State and not to be timid, he said they should enumerate the needs of the State in their speeches.

Upholding the States’ rights, winning the State governments’ demands and addressing the needs of the people in the constituency should be the prime duties of each and every MP who should carry them out in a systematic manner, he said.

Pointing out that the State was being deprived of the benefits of the major development schemes of the Union Government, he asked the MPs to fight for bringing the big ticket projects to the State.

Stalin told the MPs that the 2026 Assembly elections were as important as winning the 2024 Parliamentary polls, urging them to ensure that all the six Assembly seats in their constituencies were won by the DMK-led alliance.
