Stalin inaugurates Tidel Neo Park in Tuticorin

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the state-of-the-art Tidel Neo Park in Thoothukudi on Sunday.

Built at a cost of ₹32.50 crore, the four-storeyed facility spans 63,000 square feet at Milavittan and is equipped with advanced infrastructure.

This landmark project aims to bolster the IT sector in Tamil Nadu’s southern region and provide local job opportunities.

During the inauguration, the Chief Minister handed over site allotment orders to several private IT companies and inspected the facilities. Minister for Industries, Investment Promotion, and Commerce T.R.B. Rajaa accompanied him during the event.

Minister T.R.B. Rajaa lauded the initiative, stating that Tamil Nadu is undergoing a new industrial revolution under Chief Minister Stalin’s leadership. He highlighted that the Dravidian model of governance is creating transformative opportunities for youth in tier-two cities, allowing them to secure employment in their hometowns.

“Unlike other Tidel Parks, the Thoothukudi facility is fully occupied on the day of its inauguration,” said Rajaa. He attributed this success to Thoothukudi MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, who played a pivotal role in the park’s establishment. The facility is expected to generate over 1,000 jobs.

Thoothukudi’s Tidel Neo Park is the fourth facility under the scheme, following those in Villupuram, Thanjavur, and Salem. The State government has allocated ₹234.5 crore for establishing Tidel Neo Parks across seven cities, including Vellore, Tirupur, and Karaikudi. These parks aim to ensure job creation in all 234 constituencies of Tamil Nadu.

Minister Rajaa also announced the upcoming establishment of an electric car manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi by Vietnam’s leading firm, VinFast. The project is progressing rapidly and is expected to be ready for inauguration in the coming months.
