Soori’s ‘Mandaadi’ shooting wrapped

The makers of director Mathimaran Pugazhendi’s much-anticipated action entertainer Mandaadi, starring Soori in the lead, have officially completed the film’s shooting.

Production house R S Infotainment announced the wrap on social media, calling it an extraordinary journey for the team. The film, described as a grand sea-based action drama, now moves into its post-production phase.

To mark the occasion, the makers released a behind-the-scenes video highlighting the physical challenges faced by the cast and crew during the shoot, much of which took place at sea. The footage revealed the injuries and risks involved, underscoring the demanding nature of the project.

The film has already generated significant buzz among fans, particularly due to Soori’s commitment to performing all his high-risk stunts without body doubles. Sources said the actor underwent extensive training for the film’s sailboat racing sequences, spending months mastering the technical and physical aspects required for authenticity.

Mandaadi is expected to be a landmark film in Soori’s career, presenting him in a powerful, performance-driven role supported by a compelling narrative and a notable physical transformation. The project marks a new phase for the actor, showcasing him on a scale not seen before.

The film is being positioned as a pan-Indian release and is slated to hit theatres in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi in the summer of 2026. With its universal themes and large-scale storytelling, the makers aim to appeal to audiences across regions.
