CURTAIN RAISER – The screenplay of his period flick has been set in the backdrop of Northern Finland in  the year 1944 and is centred round an elderly man named Aatomi Korpi (Jorma Tommila) a war veteran! The film debuted at the Midnight Madness section of the Toronto International Film Festival. The film  premiered in Finland on 27 January 2023. The film is releasing worldwide on April 28 th 2023.

SYNOPSIS – After having lost his family and home during the war, he has reconciled himself to a lonely  place leading a lonely life in Lapland! A miner who attempts to unearth gold and keeps on digging! He turns  lucky as he manages to dig out a rich gold deposit! He sets out to deposit the gold at the nearest  bank located 563 miles away! On the way, he is caught and confronted by Nazi soldiers headed by the  ruthless SS Obersturmführer Bruno Helldorf  (Aksel Hennie) and his deputy Wolf (Jack Doolan) and their  .mission’ is to destroy all settlements as well settlers, on their way!But what they do not  know is that  Aatomi is a skilled fighter who is not immortal but who does not  want to die!
