SJ Suryah says Sardar 2 gave him one of his biggest highs

SJ Suryah has spoken enthusiastically about his experience making Sardar 2, describing the upcoming Karthi-starrer as one of the projects that gave him an especially strong creative high.

The actor, who has earned considerable attention for playing complex and often dark characters, will reportedly take on another negative role in the sequel.

Speaking alongside Karthi and director PS Mithran, Suryah said his experience on Sardar 2 stood out even among the many films he has enjoyed working on.

He pointed to Maanaadu and Mark Antony as previous projects that gave him a similar sense of satisfaction, but said Sardar 2 produced an even stronger feeling during the filmmaking process.

Karthi, meanwhile, recalled how much he enjoyed watching Mark Antony, particularly a memorable bus sequence involving Suryah. He said the scene generated such excitement in the theatre that he actually jumped out of his seat.

Sardar 2 features Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath, Yogi Babu and Rajisha Vijayan among its cast. Suryah is set to portray the leader of a criminal organisation in the film. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on September 10.
